i got up before 6:00 am today and it is not so hot in the early morning so i decided to choose the subway instead of driving. normally it takes me about one hour and 10 minutes to take the subway but only 30-40 minutes to drive if i can go out very early, before the rush hour. you may ask which one i prefer, subway or driving? in fact i really did the analysis, the answer is the subway.
to drive to office:
no entrance into elevated way(高架路）during 7:30-9:30 and 16:30-18:30 due to non-local plate
tiredness, risk & safety-you always pay more attention to driving in china
more cost-at least 60 rmb for about 50km of round trip
no fixed time-less or more depending on the traffic
no party, no draft beer!
but if taking subway
flexible time, no time limit
have a seat even nap if being an early bird
listening to entainment program or english on subway
punctual, -70 minutes
low cost-about 14 rmb
save energy and green!
close to society
you may find out more reasons to drive or to take the subway, it depends on your judgement. driving in hot summer days is comfortable, i agree with this. for me after a good balance, subway is much more convenient and lower cost.how do you go to work? what do you think of driving vs public transportation?
